My name is
Irish Rover.
I am an Irish-American senior citizen who has traveled to Ireland
many times since childhood. For the past 40 years I have also
developed an interest in Latin America, traveling and living there
for extended periods. Studying history is another of my great
interests. I find that I have a greater appreciation for historical
events once I have had the opportunity to visit some of the places
where historical figures have lived and where they made history. So
my intention now is to take you, the reader, to meet some of these
people and to witness the events that have caught my interest and
excited me to write about them. Come along with me for the ride.
